DTF (Direct-to-Film)

Versatile, full-color transfers with excellent wash durability on cotton, poly, and blends. Perfect for short runs, names/numbers, and detailed multicolor logos.

Best For

  • Low to medium quantities
  • Complex color art & photo elements
  • Mixed garment types and placement variety
Artwork & File Tips
  • Vector (AI/SVG/PDF/EPS — text outlined) or PNG at 300+ DPI
  • Transparent backgrounds recommended
  • Avoid hairlines under 0.5 pt; add 1–2 px stroke to fragile shapes
Minimums & Lead Times
  • Very low minimums (project-dependent)
  • Typical production: 5–7 business days after proof & stock confirmation
  • Rush service may be available

Screen Printing

Classic, durable prints with vibrant spot colors, soft-hand options, and specialty inks (metallic, puff, glow, more). The best value at scale.

Best For

  • Medium–large runs of the same design
  • Logos with 1–6 spot colors
  • Team uniforms, events, retail merch
Artwork & File Tips
  • Vector preferred (AI/SVG/PDF) with spot colors labeled
  • Halftones welcome; keep smallest text ≥ 2.5–3 mm x-height
  • We can separate colors; art/setup fees may apply
Minimums & Lead Times
  • Method-based minimums depend on colors/positions
  • Typical production: 7–10 business days after proof & stock confirmation
  • Rush windows on request

Sublimation

Ultra-vivid, permanent color that bonds to polyester fibers and coated hard goods. Great for team jerseys, performance wear, mugs, ID tags, and plaques.

Best For

  • Polyester apparel (light colors)
  • Full-bleed artwork and photo prints
  • Drinkware, name tags, awards (suitable blanks)
Artwork & File Tips
  • High-res PNG/JPG/TIFF at final size (300–600 DPI)
  • Include 1/8" bleed for edge-to-edge designs
  • True blacks can shift warm; we’ll color-manage
Minimums & Lead Times
  • Item-dependent minimums (often low)
  • Typical production: 5–7 business days after proof & stock confirmation
  • Rush windows on request

How Ordering Works

  1. Consult: Email sales@928laser.com or call 928-270-4632 with your idea, quantities, sizes, and timeline.
  2. Artwork: Send vector files (AI/SVG/PDF/EPS) or 300+ DPI PNG/JPG at final size. See our Artwork & File Policy.
  3. Quote & Proof: You’ll receive a detailed quote and digital proof for approval (one minor revision included).
  4. Production: After approval & stock confirmation, we produce, finish, and quality-check your order.
  5. Pickup/Shipping: Local pickup or shipping options available.

Typical Placements

  • Left chest: ~3.0–3.5" wide
  • Full front/back: ~10–12" wide (adult)
  • Sleeve prints: 2–3" wide
  • Hats (patch): sized to blank; 2–2.75" tall typical

Note: Placement tolerance ±0.25" is standard in the apparel industry.

Garment Notes

  • We can source blanks or work with customer-supplied items (approval required)
  • Fabric composition can affect color/hand feel
  • We’ll advise the best method per fabric & print area

Care Instructions

  • Wash cold, inside-out • gentle cycle
  • No bleach • tumble low or hang dry
  • Do not iron directly on the print

Policies & Notes

  • Color: DTF & sublimation are color-managed but not Pantone-exact; Pantone matching available for screen printing with mixed inks.
  • Artwork: Setup/design fees cover production prep and do not transfer copyright. See Artwork & File Policy.
  • Lead Times: Start after final proof approval & stock confirmation.
  • Spoilage: Standard industry spoilage allowance may apply; we build overage when possible.
  • File Retention: We retain project files for 12 months to streamline reorders (early purge on request).
